The Academic Committee of Grigol Robakidze University has awarded Professor Vladimer Papava, Academician-Secretary of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, the prestigious title of Honorary Doctor of Gruni in recognition of his exceptional contributions to the advancement of education and science.

During the ceremony held at Gruni, Professor Papava delivered an engaging lecture for students and academic staff titled “Necroeconomics, Retroeconomics and Zombieconomics.” His presentation was highly appreciated for its scholarly depth and relevance.

Rector of Gruni, Professor Mamuka Tavkhelidze, commended Professor Papava’s significant role in enriching Georgian scientific thought and emphasized that the Honorary Doctorate serves as a well-deserved acknowledgment of his lifelong academic achievements.

As part of the event, a special presentation was also held for the scientific publication dedicated to Professor Papava’s 70th anniversary, titled “Economic Science and the Economy of Georgia.”
